- KA Families

Koinonia Academy (KA) can not exist without the volunteer efforts of our parents. The school needs your help in so many ways. As teachers and staff stay focused on their students, the classroom, and their tremendous responsibility to fulfill the mission of KA, our parents contribute time and treasure for the multitude of other activities and services that enrich school life that we wouldn't otherwise be able to have at our small school.
The Koinonia Parents Action Committee (KPAC) exists to organize and administer our parents’ service of time and treasure.
Your Commitment

As of 2024-25, the KPAC Service Agreement states that you will volunteer 30 hours of service. Incomplete hours will be billed at the end of the school year at a rate of $40/per hour. Unpaid hours will be added to the following school year's tuition agreement.
What we do
KPAC is a bridge between school and home. We have our thumb on the pulse of the school's needs and how parents can be involved. Our scope includes anything from the Class Parents program, bulletin boards, gestures by Teacher Appreciation Committee to our annual Father/Daughter Dance to School-wide holiday celebrations and a lot more.

You will receive the following from KPAC:
- KPAC Envelope on Thursdays
- Emails with news and reminders from KPAC on Wednesdays
- Contact from volunteers about specific events or needs
KPAC Envelopes

The KPAC Envelope gets sent home on Thursdays. KPAC envelopes are used for secure and safe transporting cash and check payments, pizza money, and select paper communication. Service are sent home in this folder once per marking period.

You can select one of your children to bring this envelope to and from home by filling out the KPAC survey sent to your email.
KPAC Meetings

You are welcome to our KPAC Open Meetings hosted at the school on announced dates. We discuss any events, activities, and initiatives that KPAC is supporting. Additionally it provides a forum for questions about anything KA. Dates for the 2024-25 school year will be announced soon.
