The Catholic identity of the school is at the core of all we do with a mission to inspire courageous lives of holiness, virtue, and wisdom through authentic Catholic education. We believe that God is the source of all truth, beauty and goodness. As such, He is at the center of all that is taught here as well as the culture of the school. At Koinonia, children develop relationships with other students who are encouraged to grow in their faith by their parents. The larger school environment does not undo but it wholeheartedly supportive of the Christian spirituality that children are taught at home.
Opportunities to Encounter Christ
Our entire school gathers for prayer each day. Older students lead the Rosary on Mondays and charismatic prayer on Tuesdays. On “Witness Wednesdays” guests come and share their stories of encounter with Jesus. Later in the week, students come together for Eucharistic adoration and for Mass each Friday. The Sacrament of Confession is available on a weekly basis. In addition to daily prayer, the school celebrates Holy Days like All Saints Day instead of Halloween and hosts an annual Christmas Pageant with the focus on Jesus.
Our Teachers
The witness of our teachers is a crucial component of the authentic Catholic environment at KA. Each member of the staff has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and give of themselves sacrificially, witness to the love God has for each student.
