The Purpose of School Uniforms
The KA uniform is a key part of our success as both an academic and Christian community. The uniform creates the foundation of the identity every staff member and student agree to be a part of. Non-compliance with uniform requirements is not merely unsightly, but a break with that foundation of community. Recognizing this, the school takes uniform infractions seriously. Students who arrive at school out of uniform will not be permitted to join their classes until their uniform is brought into compliance with out dress code. If parents need help acquiring the correct uniform, please contact the school.

K-8 Boys - Pants - Lands’ End: classic navy-blue chinos (not cargo)
- Polo Shirt - Lands’ End: light grey mesh with KA logo
9-12 Boys - Pants – Lands’ End: classic navy-blue chinos (not cargo)
- Shirt – White oxford cloth button down collar dress shirt (solid white with no imprint). White tee shirt must be worn underneath; no writing or logo on tee shirts.
- Tie – Lands' End: KA green plaid
- Note: High school students may wear the green Lands' End polo, with the KA logo, from the beginning of school until October 15, and from May 15 until the end of school. High school students may wear KA choir windbreakers
- High school students may wear KA choir windbreaker.
All Boys K-12 - Socks – Dark socks only (no patterns)
- Belt - Dark brown, black, or navy blue (no belt for K and 1st Grade)
- Shoes –Dark shoes with backs ONLY (No sneakers, Uggs, slippers, or hiking boots) See "Permitted Shoes Image" doc for more conmprehensive list.
- Sweater – Lands’ End Navy blue, Drifter v-neck, Drifter cardigan, or Drifter vest. Must have KA logo
- Fleece - Lands’ End navy blue, zippered front w/ KA logo (no hood).
6 Boys Gym Uniform - Shirt - gray or navy t-shirt
- Shorts - dark shorts or sweatpants
- Socks - sport socks only
- Sneakers - no slip-on (must be able to run around in them)
7-12 Boys Gym Uniform - Shirt – Lands' End gray t-shirt with KA logo
- Shorts – Lands' End navy blue micromesh nylon short with KA logo
- Socks – sport socks only
- Sneakers - sneakers (must be able to run around in them)
- Winter uniform – navy blue sweatshirt, plain or with KA logo (may be hooded). Navy blue sweat pants, plain or with KA logo. These items may be purchased at Lands' End.
1st-12th Grade Boys' Shirts: Shirts must remain tucked in at all times with waistband visible.
Girls' UniformK-5 Girls - Jumper – Lands' End green and navy plaid drop-waist jumper (must come to mid-knee).
- Polo Shirt - Lands’ End white mesh (regular fit or feminine) KA logo is optional (Reminder – the logo is mandatory on the 6th-8th grade polos).
6-8 Girls - Skirt – Lands' End solid navy box pleat (must come to knee).
- Polo Shirt – Lands' End light grey mesh (regular fit or feminine fit) with KA logo
9-12 Girls - Skirt – Lands' End green plaid (must come to knee)
- Blouse - Lands’ End white, pointed collar blouse (a white tank top or camisole must be worn under the blouse)
- Note: High school students may wear the navy polo, with the KA logo, from the beginning of school until October 15, and from May 15 until the end of school.
- High school students may wear KA choir windbreaker.
All Girls K-12 - Socks/Tights – Navy blue or black knee socks (plain or cable knit), navy blue or black opaque tights (no pattern). No sheer stockings.
- Shoes – Dark shoes with backs ONLY. (No sneakers, Uggs, slippers, or hiking boots) Heels must be no higher than 2 inches. See "Permitted Shoes Image" doc for more comprehensive list.
- Sweater – Lands’ End Navy blue, Drifter v-neck, Drifter Cardigan, or Drifter Vest. Must have KA logo.
- Fleece - Lands’ End navy blue, zippered front with KA logo (no hood).

7-12 Girls Gym Uniform - T-Shirt – Lands' End Ash gray crew neck gym t-shirt (short or long sleeve)

- Socks – sports socks
- Sneakers - no slip-ons (must be able run around in them)
- Winter uniform – navy blue sweatshirt, plain or with KA logo (May be hooded). Navy blue sweatpants, plain or with KA logo. These items may be purchased at Lands' End.
Boots
All students may only wear boots to school under the following weather conditions:- Temperature under freezing
- Rainy weather
- Snow or ice on the ground at KA
Outerwear
In colder weather, any coat or jacket may be worn while walking between classes. Non-KA outerwear must be removed upon entering the building. In warmer weather, when coats/jackets are not needed, the only appropriate outerwear is a KA fleece, sweater, sweatshirt, or windbreaker (HS). Outerwear is a part of the uniform. Students with non-approved items will be asked to remove them and stow them in their backpacks.
School Dress Code for Field Trips
The regular school uniform will be worn on school field trips. For special trips, teachers will determine the appropriate attire. It is possible for sneakers to be worn in certain specific situations.
